The poor review score is due to a general feeling (and more specifically a few comments overheard being made by staff to other patrons) which demonstrate this is not a family friendly atmosphere. The sense was palpable when we arrived, but dissipated through actions like when our waiter helped to bring out the kids' food so quickly. Originally intent on trying the dessert that is so well reviewed here on Google maps, we decided against it after hearing the above mentioned comments. I was so upset we actually left so quickly we forgot to pick up my daughter's small dinosaur toy. That loss will be a constant reminder of the experience.
Great food but my family and I won't be eating there again. Really a shame.
Wonderful meal and service was excellent. Apparently under new management and believe different chef?? We both had the pork loin and my wife said it was different from the last time she had it. If there was a downside it would be the choice of beef/steak dinner. Was limited to one choice which was hanger steak. Perhaps they have different choices on weekend.

Very easily the best meal my wife and I had while staying in the area. The pricing was extremely reasonable, $25-30 for an entree, for the quality, quantity, and taste. My wife and I both agreed that the flavors on our plates perfectly blended together. I could not give a stronger recommendation for a nice romantic dinner then the Cape Neddick Inn!
Amazing. Staying at one of the local resorts, came here for dinner. Best crab cakes I ever ate and I grew up on Cape Cod. Loved the lamb lollipops and the haddock was tasty and just perfect. So good. Rarely do I have a meal to remember, but this one will have us driving 2 hours for a second visit. Great job!
The food was excellent. My wife absolutely loved her linguine in clam sauce and my duck was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. And even our two children (age 3 and 11 months) enjoyed picking on fish, potatoes, and bread.
