Wow. Room and view were beyond expectations. Rooms are very well kept with fantastic showers and decor. Coffees service in hallway offered many choices and even some fruit. View was fantastic of ocean and cliffs and I loved the balcony. Heated pool and hot tub we're truly heated and offered great views as well. The hotel restaurant was a bit disappointing and overpriced for what you got, but nearby we're many great spots offering fantastic cuisine.
This is the ultimate getaway! Ocean view rooms, 2 outdoor swimming pools, a large hot tub to relax in, with a drink of course! You have your choice of fine dining or the lobster shack, depending upon your mood and appetite. Dining room had ocean views, the shack has an outside terrace. Bring your camera because you will want to make and keep memories from this unique destination hotel. There are multi level patios with all types of seating with multiple fire pits. We will definitely go back. Don't forget your wallet.
Well... I don't really know where to begin. This was the best experience I have ever had in my life. My wife and I came here for a little "mini-moon" after our wedding. I had arranged for some wine, chocolate cake, and flowers to be in the room when we got there. The concierge, Dick, was hands-down the best person I have ever worked with in any capacity. He had everything set up, did all the leg-work with the flower shop, and threw in a special box of chocolates and a hand-written card. That's just the tip of the iceberg with Dick... he was incredible. The Cliff House itself was nearly perfect. My only complaints would be the fire pits that were a little iffy, and also I wouldn't recommend ordering the Chef's Board after 10 P.M.
We're having a wedding reception here in June of 2018 and my husband surprised me with a birthday, 1 night get-a-way...we had an amazing time! The views are amazing and the rooms are decorated with a nautical flare. Our dinner was delicious and the waitress "Deb" was terrific! She brought knowledge of the menu and great laughter to all of us dining! We want to request her for the wedding reception! Can't wait to go back!!!!
Attention to "all things Maine" throughout the Cliff House is what initially caught my eye. Each little detail so perfect. The views overlooking the cliffs are amazing - being from out west, I particularly loved getting a chance to see a spectacular sunrise over the ocean from my room. We made sure not ever to miss breakfast here; every day was a chance to try something new - all of it original and tasty. My family and I had a great adventure and enjoyed our stay very much. Likely we'll return for a longer stay next time.
